Hill College Women’s Basketball Team named to Academic Honor Roll

The Hill College Women’s Basketball team was recently named to the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for two-year colleges, coming in at number 12.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and two-year GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2017-18 season is the 23rd in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls. 

Under Head Coach Scott Hyland, the Lady Rebels earned a team grade point average of 3.208 for the season.

“This is a great achievement for our program and something we have been striving for. One of our main purposes is helping our student-athletes grow and develop and obviously academics is a big part of that,” said Hyland. “This honor shows the effort and dedication in the classroom that so many people in our program our making.”
